Downloading the Resampling Stats Excel add-in

Requires Excel 2003, 2007, or 2010 for Windows.

Important!

Step 1: Check Excel settings.

In Excel 2003

1. Set Excel security to medium or low (Tools > Macro > Security).
2. Make sure that the "Analysis Toolpak" and "Analysis Toolpak VBA" options are installed. Simply verify that they are checked in Excel's Tools/Add-ins menu.

In Excel 2007

1. Check these security settings:
   1. Excel Options in the lower right corner of the Office button menu.
   2. Trust center
   3. Click "Trust Center Settings button".
   1. under Add-ins make sure no items are checked.
   2. under "Macro Settings" make sure "Enable all macros ..." is checked.
   3. if the following line is displayed in the same window, it should also be checked: "Trust access to the VBA project object model"
2. Make sure that the "Analysis Toolpak" and "Analysis Toolpak VBA" options are installed. To verify, you must click on the "Office Button" in the upper left hand corner, followed by:
   1. Excel Options in the lower right corner of the Office Button menu
   2. Add-ins (in the left hand pane)
   3. At the bottom of the Add-ins menu, click "Go", making certain that "Excel Add-ins" is visible in the "Manage" menu
   4. From there, use the add-in manager to select the Analysis Toolpak and Analysis Toolpak VBA add-ins.

In Excel 2010

1. Check these security settings:
   1. "File" > "Options"
   2. Trust center
   3. Click "Trust Center Settings button".
   1. under Add-ins make sure no items are checked.
   2. under "Macro Settings" make sure "Enable all macros ..." is checked. Also check the "Trust access to VBA project object model" setting.
2. Make sure that the "Analysis Toolpak" and "Analysis Toolpak VBA" options are installed. To verify, you must click on the "File" menu in the upper left hand corner, followed by:
   1. Options in the lower part of this menu
   2. Add-ins (in the left hand pane)
   3. At the bottom of the Add-ins menu, click "Go", making certain that "Excel Add-ins" is visible in the "Manage" menu
   4. From there, use the add-in manager to select the Analysis Toolpak and Analysis Toolpak VBA add-ins.

Step 2: Note or print these installation instruction.

1. To install the Excel add-in, run the installation program when you download it, and follow the installation procedure.
2. Once it has been installed, you will be able to find shortcuts to Resampling Stats in your start menu and on your desktop.
3. Start Resampling Stats from the Start menu, the Desktop shortcut, or from Excel using the File menu. Do NOT load Resampling Stats from the Excel Add-ins menu.
4. Be sure to enable macros when Excel opens.
5. In the license screen, just leave the fields blank and click "OK" to enable the demo.

Note: This add-in will not alter your standard Excel configuration -- the add-in functions will appear only when you open the add-in in each Excel session.

Step 3: Download the installation file.
