Using Box PlotUtility
SelectXLMiner --> Charts--> Box Plot
DataRange : Select the data range on which you have to draw the box plot. If thecursor is on any of the cells in the dataset you want to use, XLMiner™automatically selects the whole range. If you want to select any other range, doso by clicking on "-" next to the data range and then enter therequired range.
variablenames .... : Check this if you want XLMiner™ to consider first rowof the data as the variable names.
Variables: The list of variables appears in this window. You can select the onesrequired and use them for charts by pressing ">".
Y-Variable(s): If you select one variable here, XLMiner™ will draw the box chart foryou , computing and showing all the parameters listed in the introduction andthe relevant scale.
X-Variable: If you choose Y1 as the Y variable and X-Var as the X-variable thenXLMiner™ draws box plots of Y1 for every distinct value of X-Var. Note: X-Var cannot have more than 5 distinct values.
Options:
Notched: If checked, XLMiner™ draws the box plot showing a notch for confidencelevel around the mean.
Confidencelevel : Enter here the confidence level you desire.
Titles:
ChartTitle : Enter here what you wish to call the chart.
X-axistitle, Y -axis title : XLMiner™ allots the titles to the axes if you sodesire.
ClickOK to see the chart.
