To use the Histogram utility, Click XLMiner --> Charts --> Histogram.
Data Range : Select the data range on which you have to draw the Histogram. If the cursor is on any of the cells in the dataset you want to use, XLMiner™ automatically selects the whole range. If you want to select any other range, do so by clicking on "-" next to the data range and then enter the required range.
variable names .... : Check this if you want XLMiner™ to consider first row of the data as the variable names.
Variables : The list of variables appears in this window. You can select the ones required and use them for charts by pressing ">".
Connected by line : Checking this connects the midpoints of all ranges by lines. The figure thus results is called Frequency Polygon. One glance at it gives the idea about the shape of the histogram.
Chart title, X-Axis title and Y-Axis title : These options enable the user to choose the various titles according to the nature of the dataset.
Select "OK" when you are through with the settings.
